After Illyria’s memory loss and Mycroft’s disappearance, Wolfgang has finally dissolved the original council. In the absence of the Queen, and lacking councillors, he has the power to choose his own. Sylvia has gone missing at sea, and as such a new Master of Ships is required. Paxter Whent was chosen for the position; his tactical skills and abilities are sufficient, and in the light of the massing of Anders Volpahart’s pirate fleet, backed by the Iron Bank of Braavos, who demand their debts are paid, and by dozens of sellsword companies and sellsail fleets. The royal forces are massing; Ser Ihniel Fyr, Wolfgang’s loyal enforcer, has been given a seat on the council and named Lord Commander of the Goldcloaks, and commands many of the royal forces; 6000 Goldcloaks, 7000 sellswords, 300 hill tribesmen (commanded by Kogrund), 150 wildlings (commanded by Wulf), and as yet unnumbered forces of various loyal houses, chiefly the Lannisters and Tyrells (House Tyrell’s relationship with the crown has ostensibly been strengthened by the upcoming marriage of Wolfgang and Ashe). The royal fleet numbers at around 300 now, as the Redwyne fleet and Iron Fleet have pledged to join the royal side. In the midst of this arms race, Wolfgang has sent a raven to Volpahart, demanding to know their intentions for true. Wolfgang has also sent a messenger to House Rahms of the Dornish Marches, commanding them to surrender the lands and properties they took as spoils without the permission of the crown after the fall of House Petros and their bannermen, as a punishment for atrocities committed by Stratarchis Vorgas Rahms in the Riverlands after the Feast of Riverrun. Dhandri Vypren has been named Master of Whisperers, and has been performing the job with dedication, skill, and loyalty.
